Fixed & Adjustable Lenses

Artificial lenses fall into two basic categories: fixed and adjustable. Your doctor can help you decide which is right for you!

  • Fixed: A fixed lens cannot be adjusted after surgery. Your surgeon relies on pre-surgery measurements to estimate what lens power they believe will provide you with your best vision. If it's not quite right, additional surgery or glasses may be necessary.
  • Adjustable: The Light Adjustable Lens™ can be adjusted after surgery, giving you the flexibility to experience your vision and then refine it with specialized light treatments so it's right for you.
